 Re: Paradise Garage + The Loft + France Joli Performs For Larry Levan! I always visualised France Joli as this svelte, French-speaking (probably because of the name & her being Canadian?:???: ) chanteuse, so this film really shocked me.:o She's like a white version of Jocelyn Brown; big & powerful!:p I remember reading in a magazine in '79 (I was 14)that Ms.Joli wowed the queens on Fire Island & thought to myself that I would go there one day as it sounded like paradise & last year I did just that & it is a fabulous place but unfortunately no disco & no Ms.Joli:-? :sad: (& not many queens either!)

Divine came from that Amanda Lear school of glamour/image but not much of a voice. (& of course Amanda definitely wasn't a he/she.:roll: :???: )
