In the pre 12" days i always looked out for Tom Moulton 7" mixes, yesterday while going thru a pile of 7" i found some of them. Fantastic four - "Hideaway" -76' on Westbound. B.T. Express- "Give it what you got" -75' on Roadshow. B.T. Express - "Do it til your satisfied" 74' on Scepter. South Shore Commission -"We're on the right track" -75' onWand. S.S.C. -"Train called freedom" 75' on Wand. S.S.C."Free man" - 75' on Wand. Banzaii "Chinese kung fu" - 75' on Scepter. Don Downing "Dream world" - 74' on Scepter. Are there any more out there?

I notice that most of the early 70s titles you list were on the Scepter/Wand label. Was Tom Moulton first hired on as a remixer for that label, and then eventually became a freelancer? Disco Funk

I'm not to sure if Tom Moulton worked just for Scepter/Wand in the early days because i have just found another of his mixes on a different label. this is Phyllis Hyman -"Leavin' the good love behind" on Private Stock a 7" from 75'. Tom must have produced stuff in the 70's ,but yesterday i found the only one i've seen -Loose Change "Straight from the heart" a Grey and Hanks song on Casablanca 7"-79'

Moulton did some producing in the late 70s. I don't remember if it was just himself or with Thor Baldursson. Besides the Loose Change project, he did TJM, which was a group name based on his initials. And I think he helped produce one of the late 70s Grace Jones albums, plus the Salsoul Orchestra LP Street Sense. Disco Funk

It seems i already had 2 T.J.M. tracks "Small circle of friends" & "Am i dreaming" there on a CD i bought a while ago called "The Original Disco Selection" but Tom Moulton's name isn't on the credits.

| The legend tells that his first disco mixes were 'Dream world' and 'Do it till u r satisfied', probably because he was friend to Mel Cheren of Scepter/Wand, but I don't know if under some exclusive contract.
