| SONY BMG’S BURGUNDY RECORDS SIGNS LEGENDARY SINGER SONGWRITER DONNA SUMMER NEW ALBUM TO BE RELEASED SPRING 2007 New York, NY – July 2006 – BURGUNDY RECORDS, SONY BMG’s new record label, announced today the signing of legendary singer songwriter DONNA SUMMER. “Donna Summer is a perfect fit for Burgundy and we couldn’t be happier to be working with her. | you DO know that even if Summer does reunite with Bellotte and Moroder, that's no guarantee the old sparks would fly again. I wouldn't mind hearing her work with Tony Green, who produced France Joli's "Come to Me", or Arthur Wright, or Alec Costandinos. But of all the producers I've heard her record with, Bellotte and Moroder seemed to bring out the best in her. I hope she never goes NEAR Quincy Jones again. Other interesting choices might be Hal Davis, Nile Rodgers, Paul Sabu. It bugs me that so many talented producers and artists don't seem to be working or releasing any new material these days...I often wonder if their music is being made in other countries and not making its way here... |
