...... leave it to Shenkin !!!!!8)8)8) ... You are becoming my non-American Idol Shenkin !!.....:D8) For the year end 1975 : 352) MIDNIGHT IS THE TIME I NEED YOU - Demis Roussos (Big Tree) C= 8; Total points = 8 2 weeks on the chart (6/28 - 7/5/75); Peak: #34 written by Alec R. Costandinos :D Ya, I know .... some of you were getting darn close by naming Demis ...... but ..... you didn't come up with the actual song !! It's not a bad tune , fairly decent even though at 3:00 minutes it's a long ways off from representing the epic musical styling we'd soon come to love Alec for ........ But it really stands out from the rest of the album, the only "disco" song on it .....& definitely was the springboard from which Alec developed his style ..... .................It isn’t so much the song itself that impresses me ----- - - - - What I love , LOVE , LOVE !!!... :D:D ... is that some enterprising DJs back then found this one little track on this otherwise not usable album and heard in it …..something worthwhile enough to work it into their routines! 8)8)8):D They just liked the tune .... never having a clue this song was written by someone about to become one of disco's more mega of artists… Which was the typical story of devoted club jocks back then doing their jobs ...… keeping their ears out , searching for anything from anywhere that might thrill the floor . The future of disco could be found in this little obscure three minute tune ... and kudos to those inquisitive djs out there ( whoever you were 8) ) that found it, then dared to play it , and thankfully reported it !!!!! ... 8)8-) .....making it disco song #352 for 1975 :D *****

| ***** Bernie ......I've got a "sly dog " reputation to uphold !!! I put the word "finally" in my title on purpose ...... knowing this early disco song was from mid-1975 !! :D..... :p:p By the way ....I picked up this Demis Roussos album in perfect condition for one buck8) ...after thinking I remembered that song being on Marky's charts. It wasn't until I got it home and I really looked at it that I realized it contained Costandinos material .... *****
