| I have the extended version of Armed and Extremely Dangerous, it’s on the First Choice “Armed and Extremely Dangerous” Unidisc SPLK-7000 CD, I’m sure the long mix has also been re-issued on a 12" at some point, probably on a Unidisc 12". The length of the version of Armed and Extremely Dangerous on this CD is 4:58. |

| I bought a UK 12" in 1997 with Full intention and Cevin Fisher remixes but unfortunately not an extended original version. Shame! |

| The Unidisc reissue of the Armed & Extremely Dangerous record, which also included The Player, also featured extended versions of Armed & Extremely Dangerous, Smarty Pants, and Newsy Neighbours. I think they must have edited the vocal versions with the mono instrumental mixes, which have since appeared on various Philly Groove Orchestra compilations. I don't know if those (the instrumentals) were mixed back in the day for release as the flips on the 45s. They certainly didn't appear on record before. There was also a series of CDs by Universal called '54' or 'Studio 54', which included the AVI best of CD. The long version of Armed & Extremely Dangerous was included on the volume called 'Where We Started From'. | THANKS ashley_k and Disco Funk for shedding some light on this. Now i know where I can find this awesome version of the tune. Btw, the original "Armed and.. " 45 had something else on the flip. ... It was NOT one of those "Part 1 and Part 2" deals.. So, I'm dumbfounded on how the instrumental was achieved to make them extended!! Thanks for replying!!

| Tom Moulton is credited with that long version on the "Disco 54: Where We Started From" cd; sounds like he spliced the vocal & the instrumental versions together--but it's real nice to have. from AMG: The third volume in Hip-O's vintage collection of vintage disco material includes sides from the Dramatics ("You're Fooling You"), B.T. Express ("Do It ['Til You're Satisfied])," Tavares ("It Only Takes a Minute"), Blue Magic ("Welcome to the Club"), Ace Spectrum ("Don't Send Nobody Else") and Maxine Nightingale's title track. This also features sides from R&B artists attempting to make the switch over to the disco beat, including Eddie Kendricks ("Girl, You Need a Change Of Mind"), the Four Tops ("Catfish") and the wildly thumping "Shame, Shame, Shame" from Shirley and Company. Tracks from S.O.U.L. ("This Time Around"), Don Downing ("Dreamworld"), Maryann Farra & Satin Soul ("Stoned Out of My Mind"), Lonnie Liston Smith & the Cosmic Echoes ("Expansions") and First Choice ("Armed and Extremely Dangerous," presented here in a previously unreleased extended version) complete the package. 1 10 also worth getting for the wonderful Ace Spectrum track "Don't Send Nobody Else"!!!!!
