Default I guess it had to happen someday

there's a movie on Azteca America, and there's a VOYAGE song playing in the movie's soundtrack. The movie is " The Fugitive", starring Harrison Ford and Tommy Lee Jones, from 1993. The song, I think, is from the album "Let's Fly Away" (I could be wrong about that but I know Voyage when I hear them) . Never thought I'd hear disco THAT authentic in any movie released after disco's heyday. I'll bet if more movies began using disco (from the late 70s and early 80s, I mean) it may regain its popularity.

Since then, both Charlie's Angels films contained "less than authentic" radio-friendly disco hits (Tavares, Donna Summer etc), and Starsky & Hutch emplyed them as well. However, the massively popular "Kill Bill" used Santa Esmeralda's "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood" as music for it's climatic fight scene between Lucy Liu and Uma Thurman a few years ago, albeit only as a re-edited but still mightily pounding euro thump break. Interestingly, the version included on the soundtrack was the original affair in a c. 10 minutes long version, edited but still longer than the usual 3 mins most comps would use. The hipper-than-most-in-Hollywood Tarantino people clearly saw the elongated structure of the track being of importance.

Look what the Belgian/French movie "Podium" did for Claude François.

It revived "Alexandrie, Alexandra", got it back on the floors and charts and Bob Sinclar even released an instrumental version of it.

So let them use the old skool stuff (in a respectful way!)
