In a few days, I'm heading off to NY for a short stay... (my first real trip to anywhere). Needless to say, I'm hoping to find some good record shops, since I've cleaned out my home town. Anyone have any suggestions on where to go (or where *not* to go)?

I have three places in mind:

1.Record Explosion - If you want disco on a

cd. They have many original versions and good

disco compilations.(34th Street between B'way

& 7th Avenue across the street from Macys.

2.Rose's Second Hand Shop - They sell all sorts of hard to get classics which is only available on vinyl. You can get custom made

cds as well.(22cd street between 6 & 7th avenues). My goodness I forgot the building

number but its a little rinky dink shop which can be easily missed.

3.Vinylmania - Another disco collectible store with classics available only on vinyl.

I don't know if they custom make cds for

consumers.(4th street nearby Christopher St

in the Village.) I will get the full address

for you later.
