Default Gettin' down

Hello.

Probably a strange request for a first post but here goes anyway. I've just joined a club where I have to make a cd for someone that I don't know, the theme being 'songs to have sex to'. Not being one to miss a chance to promote disco, I thought it might be good time to get someone who wouldn't normally listen to it to, er, listen to it!

So, my question is 'what songs would you put on a cd to get it on to'?

Thanks. Great site!

Well, the first theme was 'songs that make you smile', so, no, it's none of the above!

Oh, good , a slow progression .... smiles first .....
one wouldn't want to belong to a club where you have to make "SONGS TO HAVE SEX TO " CDs ... for someone you don't know .... too quickly , now would we !!!

..... sorry, but ....

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm....I hope I'm not encouraging underage delinquency..but...

be sure to include LOVE TO LOVE YOU BABY by Donna Summer

then use IT'S ECSTASY- WHEN YOU LAY NEXT TO ME by Barry White

probably SEXUAL HEALING by Marvin Gaye and see if you've got room for some more.......

Remicks, thanks for your concern but there really is no need for you to worry. I'm well and truly old enough to, erm, vote.

Thanks, Markydefad. I was thinking Barry White but wasn't sure which one to put on...good choice.

I was planning on starting slow and building the tempo to a crescendo and then slowing it down again, lol. So:

The Look Of Love - Isaac Hayes
Give Me Your Love - Barbara Mason
Love Hangover - Diana Ross
Jungle Fever - Chakachas
It's Ecstasy - Barry White
Got To Give It Up - Marvin Gaye
In The Bush - Musique
Love's Theme - Love Unlimited Orchestra

What do you think? I'll probably need a couple more, 'Love to love you, baby,' being one. The trouble is that everyone knows that song and I wanted to use some that the recipient might not have heard.

Do You Want To Get Funky With Me by Peter Brown

Come On And Do It by Poussez

Love Is In You by Nightlife Unlimited

Inside Out by Odyssey

I Like (What You're Doing To Me) by Young and Company

Some Ballads:

For The Love Of My Man by Celi Bee

You And I by Madleen Kane

Sukiyaki by A Taste Of Honey

I like your list (In The Bush). Just remember not to climax too soon.

I see your point, Needlefingers.

I think you're right. I might have to make some further insertions, so that I don't reach 'In The Bush' too soon.

Thanks for the suggestions, I shall check them out and see if they fit the bill.

:D

For what station, Headlamp? It sounds like one hell of a show.

Bernie doesn't like cross posting or blatant promotion in this section but if you look here then there are details of my shows. The playlist for the recorded show will appear on this site in a day or two in the other section. It was a good (musically) show I recorded - I usually work out what I've played before then play stuff that is new to the station. I got 3/4's of the way through only for my recording equipment to fail. :o So to cheer myself up I just played a 2 hour 'get down and disco' set from 1979.

I am doing the same thing -- a Sex CD (for myself!)

Try:

Quiet Village - Ritchie Family
Never Gonna Give You Up - Barry White
Pillow Talk - Sylvia

Pillow Talk, of course! Thanks for that one. I'm not too familiar with Quiet Village, so I'll check that out. I think I'm going to go with Marky's suggestion of 'Ecstasy...' by Barry as I need to get those bpm's up! I must be nearly there by now.

I thought of another one yesterday, the classic piece of dirty funk that is 'Head' by Prince!

Can I just mention here that I will be posting said cd and not hand delivering it!
