Default Best Erotic Drum band cut?

It seems to me a real pity that "Love Disco Style" pops up on so many comps, as "Jerky Rhythm" & "Action 78" are such great songs...I think their percussion heavy sound is fantastic...specially love the laughing gal on "Action 78". Anyone else have a fave EDB tune?

It really would depend your crowd. Young freak dancer liked Action 78 while hustlers dug Love Disco Style. I played both with equal effect.

I like Jerky Rhythm the best. Action 78 is kind of annoying. It sounds like they took a 2 minute track and created various repeat edits of it to make the various mixes. I've got 5 minute, 8 minute and 10 minute versions, all based on the tiny little track that starts off with that laughing woman. You also have to watch out for mono versions of the EDB tracks. The Unidisc CD is pressed using the mono mixes, even though there are perfectly good stereo mixes kicking around.

Wanna hear something cool? Play "After Dark" by Patti Brooks - during the breakdown begin to overlay "Plug Me To Death" by Erotic Drum Band and eventually fade out of Patti. That was one of my favorite mixes during that era.

Tonight I listened to Plug Me To Death and noticed the main melody does sound like the intro to After Dark. I thought that melody sounded familiar but couldn't quite place it.

My favourite was Plug Me to Death.
I like the way the percussion persisted and then the tune gradually emerged
to make it nice to listen to as well as dance. Overall I felt the album could have done
with a couple of extra tracks. My four-track vynil lp was more like an extended 12"
single.

Best thing about EDB is their song titles, which ar pretty good. Musically I find them very cheesy.

I do like the little perc and synth break in Action 78, however when it goes into the full track it is disco at its worst IMO
