Is Disco big in Belgium? Yes, it seems to be. After the astounishing succes of Donna Summer at the Night Of The Proms concertseries, another golden group is currently triumphing in our little Kingdom:The Pointer Sisters.

Natalia, a singer, discovered on the Belgian edition of "Idols" wanted to do 1 show with the Pointer Sisters. To everybody's surprise this gig was immediately sold out and a 2nd one was added with the same result. Yesterday the 8th! show was announced and they are trying to add other ones. Until' now "Natalia meets the Pointer Sisters" has already sold 100.000 tickets and their single "Sisters are doing it for themselves" is top-10 for many weeks now! So, message to all the Discogods: come to Belgium and get the respect you all deserve

Love the Pointer Sisters.. I've been meaning to get this one, so glad they're doing well! I hope the Pointers can start recording again based on how well this has been doing.. It's just too bad June's no longer in the group :( I really hope she can get her stuff together.

I went to the Revolution Party in San Diego spicifically to see the "Pointer Sisters". I can tell you June and Bonnie more than shocked that entire crowd with their performance and it wasn't a good thing! How sad it is. June's once powerful voice is just a little squeek now, not even the same person in any way. They stumbled around almost naked with a backtrack of the real Pointer Sister's vocals going full bore. People's jaws were gaping in disgust. A lot of pictures were taken and will probably be on SDPix.com.

And here we are, we went yesterday and I can tell you, the concert was awesome. The music was smashing, the voices (Live!) were superb and we had a funky good time!

As this is a Natalia/Pointer Sisters concert, some of the songs are Natalia-stuff but they are also great. Some of the songs are done together, others solo by Natalia or by the Three Pointers. But Natalia who was in the Idol 2004 contest has proven that she's not a puppet on a string but a real artist with a very powerful Soul/Rock voice.

Come to Belgium, have some fries with mayo
