 Funny official documents !! http://www.livejournal.com/community...70/175046.html - that's russian document (1984/85) - with long list of performers prohibited in USSR ( for public performance & broadcastings)- Donna Summer,Cerrone,Village People,Sparks,La Bionda,Munich Machine,Santa Esmeralda,Ganymede,Dschinghis Khan,Blondie,Yazoo,B-52's,Kraftwerk etc. :roll: I can't understand - maybe Donna was sexy,but what anti-soviet in La Bionda ?  |

| From my understanding of the cyrillic alphabet, Donna was banned due to "Erotism" i.e. Eroticism. There is a number of other acts (Sex Pistols, Clash, Stranglers, etc.) banned due to "Punk" which was obviously an offence in itself. What's really funny though, is that Julio Iglesias was banned due to "Neo-fascism"! :o |
