Hi guys,

if someone of you has the opportunity to go to Paris, I have found an old used vynil records shop. Just to give an idea I saw the first album of "Raydio" which has "Get down" in it, and the original 12" of El Coco, "Dancin' in Paradise"!!

Prices? About 15 - 20$ each record. Is there someone interested?

Samad records

163, rue S.Martin, Paris

Have you tried the Ecoute ca Disque shop nearthe Pompidou centre, at Rue Simon le Franc? They have everything, but EVERYTHING where euro disco divas are concerned. Prepare to pay horrendous prices ( Amanda Lear's Follow Me Wally McDonald mix: 600 francs...), though, far more expensive than at the Silly Melodies or at the Crocodisc, not to mention the Porte de Clignancourt stalls (Sat-Sun only). Try the Monster records too. It's somewhere near the Louvre - I forgot the address but the phone book should have it listed. The Monster has a great upstairs disco dept - but the prices are even higher than at the Ecoute...

Hi Masdefi - I'm actually just wondering whether to go to buy yet another ticket for a flight to Charles de Gaulle or not, myself! I'll probably wait for another week or so just in case if Osama gets up to something nasty. You do know the Crocodisc at 40 rue des Ecoles, near the Sorbonne? Another okay address is En Avant le Ziziguel, 8 rue Baudelique, 18th, open 1.30-7.00.

Masdefi -

I do know that store - very good selection. As an eurodisco obsessive I prefer Ecoute, though! For funkier vibes try Crocodisc, Rue des Ecoles, near the Sorbonne and the crossing of Boulevard St. Michel. Note they have 2 stores , one just for dance/disco/soul/funk stuff. Happy hunting!

Paul,

if you will come in Italy, JussiK and myself can give you some good address for used records. As I posted long ago, there's a important shop in Rimini, DIMAR, corso d'Augusto, where there are a lot of new 12" and LP's of disco-funky-soul. Go and you'll see! Furthermore in Rimini during summertime you can also make another type of hunting...

Hi JussiK,

I just got back from Paris, I was visiting Crocodisc: incredible shop. There a LOT of great stuff, if you did not go since a lot, you'd better go now! GREAT SHOP, thank you again for the tip.
