Default 'Romeo & Juliet' lyrics

ACT 1 PROLOGUE

Two households both alike in dignity,
In fair Verona, where we lay our scene,
From ancient grudge break to new mutiny,
Where civil blood makes civil hands unclean.
From forth the fatal loins of these two foes
A pair of star=crosse'd lovers take their life;
The fearful passage of their death=marke'd love,
And the continuance of their parents' rage,
Which, but their children's end, naught could remove,
Is now the two hours' traffic of our stage;
The which if you with patient ears attend,
What here shall miss, our toil shall strive to mend.

ACT 1

Romeo
Now suddenly your heart is burning
Romeo
And in her eyes the stars are shining
Romeo Romeo Romeo
Juliet
Your love is torn 'tween love and hatred
Juliet
But love so sweet came unexpected
Juliet Juliet Juliet

Need I say to you He's a Montague
Turn your eyes away speak no more of this young villian
He's our only foe A Capulet should know
Turn your eyes away speak no more of this young villian

But oh I love him Oh how I love him
I know I love him more than words more than words
could ever say

What can you expect She's a Capulet
Turn your eyes away speak no more of this
young woman

But oh I love her Oh how I love her
I know I love her more than words more than words
could ever say

ACT 2 Prologue

Now old desire doth on his deathbed lie,
And young affection gapes to be his heir;
That fair for which love groan'd for and would die,
With tender Juliet match'd, is now not fair.
Now Romeo is belove'd, and loves again,
Alike bewitched by the charm of looks;
But to his foe suppos'd he must complain,
And she steal love's sweet bait from fearful hooks.
Being held a foe, he may not have access
To breathe such vows as lovers use to swear,
And she as much in love, her means much less
To meet her new beloved anywhere;
But passion lends them power, time means, to meet,
Temp'ring extremities with extreme sweet

ACT 2

Sweet Montague I love you a thousand times I love you
Oh I coudnt live my life without you Oh Romeo I
love you
I'll wait until tomorrow parting is such sweet sorrow
Oh I coudnt live my life without you
Oh Romeo I love you Sweet Capulet I love you a
thousand times I love you
Oh I coudnt live my life without you Oh Juliet
I love you
Please wait until tomorrow our love will end all sorrow
Oh Juliet I love you Oh I coudnt live my life
without you

And when Mercutio had died
An eye for an eye a tooth for a tooth A soul for a soul
And so black Tybalt died
An eye for an eye a tooth for a tooth A soul for a soul

Why must you go away if it isn't it isn't near day
It was only the nightingale and not the lark

It was the lark the hearld of the morn
I must be gone and live or stay and die

It was only the nightingale and not the lark

I believe in our love
I believed in our love it was all I ever had to live for

Thx Marcio, 1st time I saw the right lyrics, now we can sing-a-long!

And to re-open the discussion. When I listen to a radio station where the listeners can choose all the tracks, it amazes me how many times Sir Alec is picked. The man's music remains popular and legendary so now that we all have the man's contact adress let's mail and write him massively so that he finally may consider releasing his music again. Costandinos rules!
