DEBUTS (11/20/76)

Notably, in the "Bubbling Under" chart, one finds a new Denise LaSalle title which will go Top 40 next week and one from a new performer with the same name as a legendary MGM swimming star, Miss Esther Williams.

This Esther Williams is a black lady who also hit later in 1981 with "I'll Be Your Pleasure."

What's 'You Gotta Let Me Show You' by Esther Williams like guys? I'm only familiar with her '81 song, the afore-mentioned 'Ill Be Your Pleasure' which I always loved to bits.

SanDee, I don't know the tune...haven't found it yet...didn't see it on any cd comps when I searched.....if it is, someone please tell me.

Correction: I do see that Amazon has a cd version of the original LP....it's not currently in stock...but I wonder if the LP version is also the 12" version or a shorter one?

I'm pretty sure that Esther recorded with
Eddie Drennan(Let's Do the Latin Hustle)
-one reason being,the flute on "You gotta
Let Me Show You" is so prominant.She
is also known for "Last Night Changed
It All" which has an often sampled break
on the 12".But "..Let Me Show You" is a
really nice track.
