Hey, Marky,

I read it fine, and I see it certainly has the vivid use of multi-colors, italics, asterisks, etc.

Thanks for the chart info, and I love that that awesome tune "Makes You Blind" enters the National Disco Action Top 10 in Billboard for Christmas week 1976.

Marky-(indulge me,please) First off I think your italics
are looking damn good, and your asterisks are the best I've ever seen. And if "It Ain't Verdana(it's funky)"-who
cares? It's not like all the different colors "Makes You Blind"-far from it.I know "I Can't Stay Away" from this thread because of the memories it brings back to me,and "I Wish" I could go back to that one moment
on the dance floor where I heard that track that I forgot about but "That's the Trouble",I can't-but you always help me to remember. So every painstaking chart entry,
every statistic from any bar in the US with a DJ is
never "Unfinished Business"-it means something to
all of us who appreciate and love what you give back.
Marky,I'm "Sorry" but "You Gotta Let me Show You"
how lucky we are to have you here.We love all your fonts, dashes and absolutely all the different colors
because it's important that you can have "Freedom
To Express Yourself"-that must never ever change ,right? Love and appreciation to you
from one "Disco Lucy" to another!

Thom

Oh Thommy, you are a sweetheart. Thanks for taking the time to do a creative writing exercise in appreciation of my efforts! That was so cool.

I'm a tad on edge these days and freak out more often it seems. Everything was going so well and then all of a sudden changes were made and it seemed to destroy some of what I'd done. Everything's okay now. I really do think of this thread as my baby and I try to do it with painstaking, loving care. When I get foiled by the vagaries of the computer world that I cannot control, it makes me feel like I'm losing it---like someone threw a bucket of water on my painting. OK. I am overstating it.

It's fine again. I just like the Verdana font. I changed the charts I typed last weekend at work today. It changed there for me. Does it read that way now? The larger print as opposed to that restrictive, too squished together font? If not, maybe you'd better not tell me lest I "FREAK OUT!!!!!"

Mission accomplished !

....Your latest chart reads/looks great AND it is now in Verdana font !!

So I think you'll agree that's pretty
FAR OUT. Can't help looking at it and thinking ISN'T SHE LOVELY
And now Chartmaster, keep on a going with what's still UNDER CONSTRUCTION chartwise ! Finish 1976... review it

and then on to 1977!!!

Because,
I DON'T KNOW WHAT'S ON YOUR MIND but if its stopping now , NO, NO, NO, MY FRIEND , there's plenty of UNFINISHED BUSINESS that awaits you .

DON'T KEEP IT IN THE SHADOWS , let the truth of the charts cometh forward .
Like Thom, its because of you that
I CAN'T STAY AWAY

sooooo,
please,
KEEP IT COMIN' LOVE

................ continue to
DAZZ le us with your charms and talents !

Thanks, remmy. I'll finish it soon. It is odd that my home computer still displays everything on this site in Verdana font, isn't it?--but I guess, in the future, I will need to change the font on my office computer after I type it on my home computer. That, hopefully, will change it for everyone.

WHAT
YOU DO THIS ON A COMPUTER
..Marky, I thought that you painted this with oils mixed by virgins and the finest bristles from minks whilst lying upside down staring at the canvas of our dreams and illusions like a Caravaggio or Michelangelo.....YOU ARE A 'SAINT'

Marky,

All of the hard work you have put into compiling these lists and using your amazing creativity is truly your way of Givin' Back The Feeling. The songs on here just want to make one Cut The Rug and the dizzying array of the various styles of disco represented in the tracks can give one an intense, hedonistic Fever. I'm Dreamin' that your charts will go well past 1977, and I Can't Stay Away from looking at your thread every couple of days. I'm sure the exhausting work you do to maintain this masterpiece Makes You Blind, but I'm sure that when people look at your compilations it makes them want to get Dancin'!

Thanks Disco-Disc and Salsoul 1975 for the kind words. I really appreciate your support.

I just got some really bad news today...a guy who I met on this site who subsequently became a really good friend of mine and Keefe's, was found dead in his apartment on Tuesday by his boss. His name was Jeff Howells and posted here as Jeff H. with the Donna Summer avatar from "Once Upon A Time"...there is another Jeff H., who lives in SF who also posts here...I know because one night very late I started chatting with the wrong "Jeff H."

Some of the veterans here [Graham, Nicky??] may remember Jeff... he was the editor of Out, the Gay Pittsburgh paper. He just turned 50 at the end of July and his mother just died in mid-July. Keefe and I and some others received an email today from Jeff's boss, the owner of Out, to tell us the sad news.

I'll post this in another thread so it doesn't get lost here. I am still in shock.
