Marky,

I think you misunderstood It's not that you can't use any formatting. By all means please do as it make things easier to read. Just try not to apply more than one style to a particular snippet of text. Either make text bold, italic or underlined, but not all three at once.

All that extra formatting is unnecessarily adding a lot of code to the page which many times gets screwy, slows down loading of the page and every now and then some browsers may not render the text the way you thought.

In addition to formatting you should certainly look into using more "white space" by adding extra carriage returns between sections to help break things up to make it easier to read. Seriously, don't get upset about it and just keep doing the great work you've always done. The last thing I want to do is cramp your style.

For those members who want to know more and respond to the above then see this post: http://www.discomusic.com/forums/sit...ems-posts.html

I just realized I left this "situation" hanging here. Didn't mean to. Bernie & I communicated yesterday via p.m. and he's fixed everything, so I'm happy.

Hi Marky:

I have been reading the Billboard Charts since the very first one. I am addicted to them.

Thank you, thank you so much for this huge work. You ARE an institution. No one has ever did this kind of work before... and you did...

Cheers and keep it going.

Hessel

SanDee, rhessel, and STEPHEN L.:

Thanks for the support, guys. I still see some discrepancies in the last chart on my work computer that reflect the changes brought about by the addition of the new font. Nothing awful---but some things don't line up correctly...[ for example...note the size of type in songs #2-7....doesn't the type seem smaller?...then when you get to #8- it gets larger? I notice this on the first part of the "bubbling under" section also...and in the stats section for most points gained, etc. ...a few of the items don't line up---but it's readable.] I just need to know which sections need to be typed from scratch and which I can cut and paste...

Strangely, on my home computer where everything looked awful on Friday--now it seems returned to the old format--and there is no trace of the "new font" I see on my work computer. How does that happen, I wonder?

Anyway, remicks told me it all looked the same to him--so if that's the case, I won't sweat it--but if you see problems--I'll retype those sections so as not to bring the problem forward.

Thanks!!

But, personally I liked the old Verdana font better.

Hey wait...looks like I can make it read in Verdana with a little highlighting!!! I think I will. See it is more spread out-- less tight and restricted...just my taste....keep it loose, I always say.

One mo thang...

Was there a track on the Spider's Webb LP from 1976...actually titled "Spider's Webb"???? On the 12/25/76 chart....that title is bundled with "I Don't Know What's On Your Mind" & "I've Learned From My Burns". ..and I'm not sure if it's just a typo or an actual track..I'm assuming the latter--but if anyone knows, please let me know. Thanks

Thanks for the info. Tom. Just wondering is the group's name spelled with the apostrophe or not?

Spider's Webb or Spiders Webb????

In the "Let's Make Things Even More Confusing Department":
The group's name, per the album cover and label, is: "Spiders [no apostrophe] Webb."
The aforementioned track is: "Spider's [with apostrophe] Webb."
On drums, percussion and vocals is: Spider [no "s," no apostrophe] Webb.

There'll be a quiz Monday.
