Is this the 12" with the four versions --- extended, instrumental, percusappella and short --- remixed by Nick Martinelli and David Todd? Puts the lp version to shame. Damn, this woman could sing! :(

I wonder if that is the same copy as the version I have... with the extended intro. always liked that
I only have it on a CD/mp3 but the length is 5:51 :D that about the length of your version?

....and Yes, it's definitely waayyy better than the very short single version.

I've been as happy as a pig wallowing in 'u-kno-wat' since I found the 12" and the CD single. Remix is nice --- extended intro, all-too-short break in the middle, an a cappella (well, actually, drum & voice) breakdown just before the fade out for those fun segues --- can't get enough! :)
I'm pretty sure I don't have the 12" as I never bought many in the 90's, does the Cd single contains the 12" version, I may try to find that one, maybe on ebay. :-?

5) YOU'RE THE ONE - LITTLE SISTER (Guys, pick up the following CD if you can: Hard to find 45s on CD: Sweet Soul Sounds. It contains this gem by Little Sister in its complete 6:39 format, no parts 1 and 2. Awesome! :D )
Thanks for this tip , let's see if I can find it since I don't recall this song at all but its always mentioned every where.

PS: I was watching last night the old Bond flick "The Man with the golden gun" and the midget, remember him? "The Plane , The plane" , his name in the movie is Nick Nack :o

Kenny Dope from NYC was in town and they were selling 2nd hand vinyls at the venue all day prior to showtime. Found a 12" from 1979 called " It's Allrite to *uck All Nite - Disco By Barbara Markay", a jolly if musically rather forgettable singalong affair with a slight Barbados feel. The sleeve features the pale face of a stoned-looking woman, apparently the artiste and the writer of the work herself, Barbara Markay. Now, as the title suggests, the record is quite rude, with Babs calling out all to "suck suck suck" and more. I would very much like to know who this woman was/is, was she a porn personality of some kind, perhaps one with artistic aspirations like Annie Sprinkle? - Also got the original German pressing of the Canymede album, which was a good find for the colorful sleeve on which some members of the group are seen wearing great mutant space pig masks. - But the subject is interesting music here not interesting cover images, so: Disco Dub Band: For The Love Of Money, that's the track in heavy rotation in our household along with Suba tunes from Brazil. Perfect summer music with subtle chill beats and lovely bittersweet melodies. Such a shame the guy is no longer around.

Hey Dave - Would love to hear some of these tracks !!

Thanks, Marky. I was going to do that.

Davicillo - Yes, this CD is part of a series titled "Hard to Find 45s on CD:...". This is their one r&b/soul contribution in that series. The others are rock/rock 'n' roll I believe. Here's the link:

Check out the link to Amazon in my previous post.

I should also say the remastering here is pretty decent. A couple of flaws in the vocals on one or two tracks but mostly well done. Also, all but six of the songs are in stereo and the label touts a "long ending" to EXPRESSWAY TO YOUR HEART by Soul Survivors. What it doesn't mention, which astounded me, is it's version of DRY YOUR EYES by Brenda & The Tabulations is 20 seconds longer than any I've heard before. (And I've been hearing this song for a loooong time. ) Different intro, extended fade which ends cold. I'm sucker for finding out what happened in the studio after the engineer turned the gain down. :)
