Default Melba Moore - The Other Side Of The Rainbow

Picked this up on CD recently. As well as the "big three" (Love's Comin' At Ya, Underlove and Mind Up Tonight) I was delighted to discover a wonderful song on there called How's Love Been Treatin' You (looks like Melba's not big on 'g's at the end of words) that deserves to be better known, and indeed has now officially become my favourite Melba Moore track.

I agree with you billy; 'Hows Love Been Treatin You' has a very Change/JFP sound which very much appeals to me. I also think the 'Knack For Me' track is good but I preferred the Detroit Spinners' version.

I have a 12" of the Detroits 'Knack' on UK Atlantic from 1981.
Produced by Mtume & Lucas who also produced Phyllis Hyman and Stephanie Mills in the early eighties.Writing credit is to somebody called Jones.
Also loved the Moore version which is faster and more electronic.

Thanks for the info. The writers name is Paul Lawrence Jones III who had a brief solo career in the mid 80's much in the vein of Lilo Thomas.
