Trocadero Reunion 3 w/ DJ Jerry Bonham

Okay, I can finally let everyone know that the third "Remember the Party" (aka "Trocadero Transfer reunion") dance party is set for Sunday, April 24, 2005 in San Francisco!

The last two parties, Robbie Leslie delighted us with his tea dance sets of disco tunes from the 70s to early 80s. Robbie successfully weaved a celebratory and uplifting sound for those parties.

For this third party, called "Remember the Party - Soul Recharge," famed local San Francisco DJ, Jerry Bonham, will be taking the sound of the party in a little different direction. He's planning on a set of more hardcore, intense Saturday night at Troc favorites from the 70s to early 80s! I was surprised to find out that Jerry's roots are in the classic disco sound of that era.

As far as I know Robbie was willing to do the party, it was the producers who decided to go with a local DJ.

The producers received some feedback questioning why weren't any local SF DJs given a turn to play at these parties. There are still some very talented DJs in this genre in the Bay Area.

So, since they've worked with Jerry in the past, he's first! But don't fret, plans are to have Robbie back for a future party. :D

We're excited that the niece of the founder & owner of Trocadero Transfer, Dick Collier, will be flying out to SF for the party. She's bringing some stuff from her late Uncle's collection of Trocadero paraphernalia. I can't wait to see the photos!
