The website with a teaser ad for the Troc Reunion party is now working! So, come on over to the City By The Bay, where, for at least another day, there's alot to celebrate! Thank you Judge Quidachay! (What am I talking about? Well, check out the news sites about today's recent development about one of San Francisco's top stories.)

Actually Mark, the website's address was in an earlier message. Guess I should have repeated it, sorry!

I was just told that a certain legendary DJ will be attending the party (I shouldn't reveal the name at this time, but you former "Trockettes" will be pleased!).

For those of you thinking about coming over to San Francisco to attend the Remember The Party/ Troc Reunion on April 18th, here's some more info to help you decide! The tickets are surprisingly reasonable. $11.00 if you purchase in advance (includes the $1.00 service charge) and $15.00 at the door.

Also, the website doesn't have the info about hotel accommodations yet, but their event line does (415-339-7807). The Monticello Inn (www.monticelloinn.com), which is on Ellis near Powell (near Union Square and our legit. theatre district), is offering a $99.00 rate. However, you have to call the hotel, Matt Lewis at (415) 433-3775, and ask for the Remember The Party rate. If they fill up and want to put you at the Villa Florence Hotel, that's also okay because it's even closer to Union Square. Both hotels are small boutique hotels renovated by the Kimpton Group (they are famous for doing that in SF).

By the way, does anybody recognize the male singer from the early 80s singing in the background of the event line??? We have discussed him on this site in the past!

This can't be a one-time thing.

Yup! Robbie did but we have to wait for him to get back from his upcoming playdates. He mentioned to the Manager of the Glas Kat, we may have to wait about a month. :(

Well, good things come to those who wait!

There's news folks!!!!

This came from Robbie Leslie...........

“REMEMBER – The Party”

On 18 April 2004, history was made in San Francisco when the legendary club Trocadero Transfer was reopened for a one-night-only celebration of a bygone era of all-night dancing, magnificently choreographed lighting, and most of all, the music that was the soundtrack to a generation.

Orchestrated by a handful of devoted San Francisco locals and former club employees who went out on a limb to revive the magic of Trocadero, it was not clear until the last moments whether or not this labour of love would be fully appreciated by the public. Appreciated it was! Former Trocadero die-hards and young club kids alike attended in droves and the most common observation was of the pervasive positive energy and excitement throughout the party’s SRO eight-hour run. “The smiles on the faces of everyone at the party were proof positive that this event was needed,” observed one happy dancer. Fans of the Troc from as far afield as Los Angeles, Mexico, New York, London, and the Continent flew in for this very special celebration. Please visit www.remembertheparty.com

And now, “REMEMBER – The Party” is available on an all-digital six CD set!

This special first-time offer is available only through direct mail order.

Please send $150 cheque or money order to:

“Remember – The Party”

DJ Robbie Leslie

2716 Northeast 28th Street

Fort Lauderdale, FL 33306-1728

Please include a secure return mailing address with your payment.
