| Captain's Log. Stardate October 11 of the year 2009. We've just received amazing news for all of mankind. We have made contact! It's true, we are not alone. The Mothership S.S. Trocadero Transfer is ready to transport all earthlings on an interplanetary, most extraordinary trip across the universe and back! In this incarnation of Remember The Party, all passengers will be experiencing Close Encounters Of The Disco Kind! ![]() Commencing countdown. Engines on. Fasten your seat belts, it's gonna be an exhilarating ride. Your pilot and tour guide for this extra terrestrial flight of disco fantasy will be the legendary Starfleet Crew Captain DJ Jerry Bonham. His cockpit is ready for inspection, all systems go. The RTP lighting team have their phasers set to stunning and will be materializing a heavenly show of shimmering cosmic lights that would make the Aurora Borealis blush. With Cpt. Jerry at the helm, we are assured of a journey which will soar beyond the clouds into a heavenly soulful upper atmosphere, then into the stratosphere where we go back to another space and time. There are no special requirements for clothing or space suits on this trip, our tour guides tell us that T-shirts, jeans and other casual clothing are quite acceptable interplanetary wear. However, for passengers who may wish to dress for the occasion, the Starfleet Federation encourages the wearing of garments of the silvery, glittery or spacey kind for this epic journey. If silver is not your color though, just come along as you are and enjoy the trip. Don't miss this once-in-a-lifetime chance to climb aboard the Mothership Trocadero Transfer, take a cosmic trip and experience aClose Encounter with our gay musical heritage: some of the most astronomically gorgeous gay disco music in the universe, authentic, pure and perfectly beamed up from the time capsule stardated 70s through to early 80s. | I was thinking of going to SF just to visit this (loved "Flashdance" although it's 80s) but now it looks like all my SF friends are going to march on Washington. :/ |

| I can't wait either, TDK! It will be wonderful to see you too!! Chala, hope we get to see you at this event also! Word is that Bobby Viteritti is planning to visit SF to attend. So, if you're both there, I'll be happy to introduce you if you haven't already met him. As for everybody else, I know I say this all the time, but please don't assume there will be future Remember the Party events at this location. Even though the economy stinks in California, there are still areas where real estate remains pretty hot. The area that the Glas Kat/ Trocadero Transfer is located is one of the locations in San Francisco that is undergoing redevelopment. So we never know if and when the club will be sold. Let me just say there's been talk for awhile! |

| Where does the time go?? It's hard to believe that Remember the Party - Close Encounters of the Disco Kind blasts off in just two weeks! It's always a honor whenever somebody from the Discomusic.com forum joins us, especially when they have to travel a great distance. You folks know your music. For us to have caught your interest enough to want to participate in the disco magic is so flattering. Just like SandraDee two years ago, we have a long time forum member making a really long journey to visit us this year. I am soooo excited to have the opportunity to meet him! Gotta remember to bring his book so hopefully he'll sign it! Maybe we'll have the opportunity to meet more of you on October 11th? The moonlight, the music and YOU?? |

| I forgot to mention that the guys at Medium Rare Music (www.medium-rare-music.com) will be bringing the FAB Shena Winchester over for a meet and greet at Remember the Party's Close Encounters of the Disco Kind. They should also have the CD of her new album "One Man Woman" finally for sale here in the United States! |
