For the lovingest day of the year we thought where better to source some of the darkest musical talents than the home of romance itself? We mounted our virtual flying-carpet and scanned the hills and valleys of France to bring you the heaviest, most electronic version of the 'love song' that we could find, and came back with a veritable buffet des festins complimented perfectly by a sprinkling of British flavour.

The Herbaliser. One of those acts that needs no introduction, synonymous as the name is with thoughtful, entertaining and dancable music. For over 15 years now Ollie Teeba and Jake Wherry have graced our stereos and festival stages alike with classic tunes, superb live performances and mind-expanding DJ sets, so who better to come and add some seasoning to our spicy line-up? With record bags worth more than life itself I guarantee that when Ollie and Jake take to the decks arch 3 will be crammed with moving bodies like some huge, beautiful sweating organism. Mmmmmmmm.

Missill has spent the last few years playing over 400 gigs at every major French, and countless European festivals. With a sound so versatile that she can fit happily between all types of acts or DJs she has built up a dedicated fanbase thanks to her innovative and dynamic style. The sounds she uses are fresh, the mixes are original and beware, her boundless energy is contagious. On 'Targets' Missill has blended beats, synths and samples that diffuse into your brain until you body is simply screaming to get on the nearest dancefloor and let loose.

Coming straight outta Paris, alongside production partner Bulldog, Kazey has set the standard for the new wave of Baltimore club producers and electronic twiddlers. Rocking parties, clubs and mix tapes since the beginning of the 90's, Kazey has become one of the most in demand DJs to ride the wave of the explosion of the get down-low-and-dumb b-more club music that has taken the world by storm.

Left Step B and are a 'self-styled-gentlemen's club' equipped with drums, bass decks and mics and unlike say, the Masons, this club is free for anyone to join and this evening's recruitment drive will no doubt see the membership numbers sour as they demonstrate their funk-hop-tronica styles on the stage in the arches.

Gerald and Henry have been working together since the mid 90's and following a shift to electronic performance in 2001 they formed 'Yimino', creating a powerful combination of deep soundscapes and surprising song structures. A fine start to our evening of beautiful darkness, make sure you get down to see these guys.
