Casablanca - a classic disco party, debuts at Underground SF this Saturday, July 29. This special event is for everybody who never stopped loving that classic 70s sound.

Medium Rare Music resident DJs Ron Hoffman and Marcelino will be spinning all your favorite disco tracks and some forgotten classics.

So many of you have been wanting a true classic disco party and these guys really know their stuff. DJ Marcelino tells us the goal of Casablanca "is to reach the generation of disco lovers who were there the first time around while inspiring new disco lovers to discover the disco experience."

Featured DJ Ron Hoffman thinks it's important to "remind the younger generations who were not there that the current trends of dance music have roots that grow deeper than Madonna, Janet, and Britney."

The pair had no problem deciding on the name for the party, as Casablanca was the premier disco record label in the 70s, introducing the world to the likes of the Village People and Donna Summer. Expect all the Casablanca artists to be represented as well as the divas from lesser known labels - Salsoul, Prelude, and West End and many others.

The tracks will be mixed in the same style as it was done in the late 70s and early 80s by such renowned club DJs as Bobbi Viteritti, Robbie Leslie and Fire Island legend, Lary Sanders.

And to add to the event, local visual artist III will interpret visions from the disco era with a LIVE video show!
