Default Wanted: Disco Collection

Hi! Im looking for a total disco collection on cd,not just a 2 cd hits combo, but a 15 (or more) cd full disco collection box kit from the 70s with all the disco songs, the big hits (and the less known also), time life would have been the most likely people to have this, but they dont, from chic, to george benson, silver convention, earth wind and fire, ect ect ect...id like them all!

I also would love to get my hands on a massive 15 cd box collection of house and dance music from the 90s
(the technotronic years) and these bands in between

the only prob is that i need these collections to be complete
because the titles and artists are really to hard to pin down individually and compile slowly...

i can only identify a song if its playing, so if anywone can suggest a collection here it would be JUST GREAT!

i grew up on disco! ill always love it!
its the sexiest and most sensual
rythmic music out there

thanks much for the tips if you have any!

A "complete" collection would span many more than 15 CDs... most of us are still trying to obtain a "complete" collection.

PS: Many hits and noteworthy tracks have never been legitimately issued on CD.

your best bet would be to probably ask one of this site's collectors to make a personalized collection for you. Commercially released "collections" will always INCLUDE songs you don't want and EXCLUDE songs you DO want. And listening to a personalized collection of songs you've chosen is a blissful listening experience. Right, Bruno?

Hi....
Reference 70s Disco it is possible for you to cover this (90%) with up to 15 CDs but it depends if you're happy with standard radio/single versions (the usual 4 min approx) or want extended & 12" mixes etc. which would need many more CDs.
Having said that most tracks up to '76 were only short versions anyway.

For example I have an 8 CD series of 70s Disco that would give you about 140 tracks..... add to that a few greatest hits like George Benson, Stevie Wonder etc and you'll have most of the big 70s Disco tunes.

I have been slowly but surely putting all my vinyl (and others) onto CD. 99% of the tracks are from the late 70's - all are disco or funk. So far I am up to CD No 45 and I reckon I have done a third. You wouldn't be able to fit all the disco hits onto 15 CD's - what I would do is look at other people's compiltation and buy a few..I don't like most people's disco compilations - I make my own!!

am I the only one confused by this....first it says "I would like to look at and buy other people's compilations" and then it says "I don't like most people's compilations...." ????? I don't suppose you WOULD like someone else's compilation as much as one you'd compiled yourself (or someone else recorded for you using your song choices......)
