1 Swedish Hot Rod!

Where are the days when European kids went to see American movies and their eyes opened wide when they saw the American Hot Rods, cars that would simply be illegal on our roads BITD.

But times, they are a changing, they are allowed now and Swedish manufacturer Volvo just made a Hot version of their first car: the Jakob from 1927.

Is this a one-off, a proto, or do they intend to launch a production of it?

Are there no rear- or side-view mirrors? Back lights? Turn signals? Or are the mirrors replaced by invisible cameras monitored on a screen on the dashboard, and signal lights flush with the body, in smoke attire? That would be nice...

It kind of reminds me of the principle of the Plymouth Prowler. I didn't think so much of it until I passed someone driving one up the Champs Elysées on a hot sunny afternoon, and thought it was the coolest car to drive on such a day. The crowds gawking at it seemed to think the same.
