Major cool-looking car. It looks good on domestic roads, but totally kicks ass when compared to Jap, Korean, and Euro cars in the streets of Paris. Thumbs up to the Black/red livery.

They're pushing it even further now with the Shelby Super Snake:

I was watching episode 3 of "Drive" tonight, the show that got cancelled after a run of only 4 episodes, and there was an interesting sample of the car, in a bluish grey, with extra scoops where the back windows normally are, and on the sides right behind the doors; different air intakes on the hood, and a different rear spoiler.

I don't know if it was just one of these, dressed up with accessories, or yet another version of it, but it certainly looked nice...

Well, I got a little hooked by this car and went to a Ford dealer for some info.

The car is and will not be imported in Europe since the success of it in the US and the fact that the whole production can be sold over there. Then I asked what it would cost to import 1 myself.

I'm not gonna reveal the price here but for the same amount of Dollaroses I can buy a Porsche 911 GTR or a BMW M6 here. Let's face it and I don't want to step on sensitive toes here but, the car is cool but it can not be denied that qualitywise (at import rate) this muscle car can compete to the German sporties! However, if an American buys it in the US he has a dreammachine!

...But that's the whole point of getting a rare car!!! Granted the GT R and the M6 aren't the most common models among the millions of Beamers and Porsches seen everywhere on our (European) roads, you're still bound to have to check twice when trying to find your car in some club or restaurant parking lots. The beauty of a car like these mustang variants is that you can't mistake your car for any other.

About the high cost of importing unique models, a friend of mine got a good deal on a Dodge Viper (when they weren't yet officially imported) by finding 5 other potential buyers, negotiating a discount for 6 units, renting a container, and shipping all 6 cars in the container from the east coast to Le Havre. The homologation process costs were also split 6-ways, making the end price quite interesting, if not ultimately cheap. Given the current $/€ ratio, it would probably be even more interesting now...
