I liked the Opel GT back in the day. It was a great chick grocery getter...

The new one looks nice. Isn't Opel owned by The General?

Actually, it looks like the Pontiac Solstice!

WhaddI say about Opel being owned by the General... :o

Bernie; the Solstice has a 2.4L 170 HP twin cam 4. It is built by Pontiac to compete with the Mazda MX5/Miata. And it's supposed to be a very nice car. The price is $20K plus USD.

Bernie, Opel hasn't revealed al the technical details yet but it will be the exact same type as the Saturn Sky:

And like Discoman says, it's based on the Solstice.

Yes, GM owns Opel; some chassis are shared between models (the Caddy that zips (Catera) = Opel Omega, etc...); GM also owns Saab, Holden (Australia), and Vauxhall (an old English brand bought out to sell and make Opels in Britain).
