I actually have a 1:25 scale Jensen Interceptor; I'd love a real one! They are extrememly rare but I have seen a few over the years still driving around & they haven't aged badly; they still look incredibly glamorous & desirable! There was an 'FF' 4x4 version which looks identical except for 2 vents behind the front wheel arches; they are 10 times more rare! Oh & there's a convertible version too but I'm not as fond of that one.

Yes, I'm a collector since 1989. Mostly scale 1:18 but I also have many of the precious Franklin Mint models. I usually go for the classic cars but now and then I buy contemporary stuff as well.

I have a few buses and naturally I purchased the Corgi funfair collection. BTW, Bernie, I've already visited your site and there are many beauties! The best model I bought in 2005 is BBR's 1:18 scale Enzo Ferrari. The weirdest is the Dragula Hot Rod from the Munsters. At the moment I'm also collecting movie-cars and I already found:

-James Dean's Mercury
-Scarface's Cadillac
-Batmobile: Tim Burton version (I don't have the Tumbler yet)
-Elvis' Cadillac
-Fast And The Furious: Honda Civic, Toyota Supra (Orange), Toyota Supra (Gold), Dodge Challenger (2)
-Monkee-mobile
-Dodge Challenger and Ford Mustang from the movie "Bullit"
-Gulf Porsche from the movie "Le Mans"
-Aston Martin "Goldfinger"
-Aston Martin "Die Another Day"
-Lotus "The Spy Who Loved me"
-BMW "Tomorrow Never Dies"
-Plymouth Fury from "Christine"
-Ford Torino from "Starsky And Hutch"
-General Lee from "Dukes Of Hazzard"

Great hobby and yes SD, certainly for adults since the cars I collect are not suitable as toys. I take 'em out of their box and place em in special glassboxes but I do keep the boxes coz collectors absolutely want the whole package.

It's so funny that the Jensen and Avanti look somewhat similar. I never noticed that after all these years till I placed the images together just now.

Another car that I loved as a kid and still would like if I had the money to keep it up would be the 1966-1969 Oldsmobile Toronado. Absolutely loved this car!

I must admit I find these a bit tacky. I was going to get their Honda CRX but it was covered in too many strange add-ons for my liking. :x Just my personal taste.

In America tacky or overdone sporty cars are called "Rice," which is a derogatory slang term for Asians who accessorize their Japanese (usually) cars to the hilt. you know, large stupid wing on the rear, neon lights and glow in the dark instrument clusters...

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of tuned cars but they have working neon-lights on them and that's kinda cute. When it comes to tuning I recently found this beauty:

And this is a fave classic too, I have the model but not the real thing:

And this is your car I believe:

Johan,
I have a 1:78 sized General Lee from "Dukes Of Hazzard" somewhere in my boxes.

Back in the day some people would paint their Ford Torino's just like the Starsky and Hutch car. Saw one in NYC about a year or so ago and it brought back memories of my youth.

Oh we have those overdone 'customised' cars over her too; the drivers of them are generally referred to as 'boy racers'. Why the hell would anyone want to put a neon light under their car?

Now I'm going real "old school" o you guys...

Still think the 1937 Cord was a beautiful car. If I recall, Nissan in Japan owns the die for this one. The Cord was Art Deco class!

Oh what a fabulous car! Yes, mine is in 'glance grey' & it's a coupe version with the lift-up tailgate. I managed to find a 1:25 model in the same colour! I also have a remote-control one in yellow (can you tell I'm a Smart fan?! :P )

The sign reads "handcrafted in Turin, Italy." I vaguely recall seeing pics of this car, but it almost looks like the old Pontiac Gran Prix's of the 70s..
