and I'll cry if I want to" is mixed on an old Roy Thode tape with what sound's like a Sylvester track "Party Boy". I had this tape in '81 so it's not the HRG Party Boy track. Any suggestions as to what is the the tape? And where it's from? This isn't a trick question, more a cry for info

I'm a little bit confused...

Are you looking for who did "Party Boys"? (Foxy, 1979 on TK)

Or for a disco version of "It's My Party"?

I know that a group named Rhonda and Physical Emotion did a nice remake of Leslie Gore's "It's My Party," but I think it was a late '80s/early '90s release, so probably not the version you are looking for.

How about Dave Stewart* and Barbara Gaskin's version of "It's My Party"? I think that was from around '80 or so...

*Not to be confused with David A. Stewart of the Eurythmics

It's the "Party Boys" track I'm after. I'll have to hunt down the Foy track. Thanks!

And it is indeed Foxy Party Boys (which is in the vault, doh!). It's only taken me 20 years to find that out..
