Default Vanessa Williams cut 'n' paste

It doesn't happen very often, but I have found a snippet of music which I can not place. It is on Vanessa Williams "The Comfort Zone" CD from 1991, and I think it is 60's or 70's funk (could well be the JB's or Tower Of Power), hidden in the track "Running back to you". Any ideas?

The sample is from "I Can't Stop" by John Davis and the Monster Orchestra, 1976.
