i've been looking everywhere, does anybody know who bobby davenport is? this name was thrown by "elektrikpea" while i was asking for help to identify song (give me a break... bla,bla,bla. not the ritchie family's, nor vivien vee's). now i'm intrigued by not finding anything about that name, or the song at all!!! any sample? thanks!

I think he did a song back in the early 80's. I think he covered the song Time Has Come Today. I could be off but that sounds familiar to me.

He did a song called "Gimme A Break" - it was on Disconet Volume 4 Program 11. I'm not sure it was ever released commercially.

Does anybody know if it's true that "Time (Has Come Today)" by Bobby Davenport has been re-issued in the spring of 2006 either on vinyl or on cd? The 12" vinyl was released on JDC in the early eighties if I remember correctly. A short piece of this track also appeared on one of the JDC Mixers; don't recall the number tho. Never been able to get my hands on the 12" version.

Vol. 7 was the best one in my opinion.
"Time" appeared on vol. 1.
Was "Time" re-issued or re-mixed in 2006? That't the question.
