Default lady marmelade

Was there ever a long version of La Belle's "Lady Marmelade"? All the copies I have are the standard 3 minute version, which I find disappointing since this is one of the most important disco songs ever. If there is it, where I could find it? It should be on CD preferible and most important, an original (no remake). Thanks for any help.....

I am not aware of any "long" version of Lady Marmalade.

I was deejaying when it was a hit. I just used two 45 RPM records mixed together to create a long version, by starting the second record at the end of the chorus on the first record.

On CD, the single versions I have are 3:16, but on the Nightbirds album, there is a 3:56 version. It has one additional chorus verse not in the single and a slower fade.

Seems that La Belle didn't exploit this. Very long versions got fashionable in discos a little latter. Nevertheless, thank's everybody!!
