Default I don't know the song..

but I have the album. I've listened to it a few times and I think the guy sings 'Aahhh come outside'. There's no credit on the album sleeve though.

that´s jakki-sun sun sun man! it's a very badly edited song.. (done by walter gibbons!) so it sounds as he is mixing "live"

Sun, sun, sun is possibly the most schizophrenic record ever made and does indeed sound like a completely different track at one point. A ridiculous record, really!!

It really ought to have been done as a part 1 and part 2 sort of thing. I much prefer the first bit of that record, even though it goes bordferline pop schmaltz. The last half of the record is much more instrumental and mixing fodder to my ears. I still love it though and WISH there was a CD quality version for downloading/purchase.

This cut was a classic at the time and most DJs used two 7" copies as the 12" was rare even back then, this song was one of those that defined 'underground' sound for us BITD; This record was released on 7" with the vocal on part 1 (3:29) and part 2 instrumental clocking at 4:38.

Apparently the 12" is a live remix/edit combo of the 7" versions, the questionable mix/blend happens at the end of the 7" version as the re-mixer attempts to mix into the instrumental side, this intro portion is then extended (you can hear the mix) and then finally editing back to the rest of the instrumental which includes a beautiful jazzy trumpet solo..

IMO with as many 'elements' available in the 7" a much better 'remix' or edit could have been possible, even back then, but in any case this 12" still is a great find if you can get it, especially because of the better all around sound quality, but even if you only find the 7" you won't be missing much; Avoid the LP version as it fades out just as she says 'oh you're so good' cutting off the male vocals at the end, also the LP slows down the pitch/tempo in comparison to the 12" or 7" versions, this explains the 3:44 LP length even though it is the same (almost) vocal version …....

Sure Quinny, if you say so, no wonder you missed out on so much of the disco experience, the jazzy synthesizer and trumpet/ trombone on the 7” instrumental side (and 12") along is worth the price!, not to mention the beautiful melody, vocals arrangements and smart lyrics about recovering from lost love, this is early disco music at it’s best, and the fact that you don’t get it makes me wonder about your taste for ‘Disco’ ….…….....
