Default First hit of Alexander Oneal around 1986

Does anybody know the first hit of Alexander Oneal. I have his greatest hits, but it's not on it and I don't know the name of it. It came out around 1986.

Thanks,
Doug

Depends on where you are located I guess. Check out Alexander O'neal's 1985 debut album. It's most likely on there.

Are you referring to "Fake"? That's the song I first associate with him.

Well his first big hits were in 1985: "Innocent", "Saturday love (duet with Cherelle) and "If you were here tonight".

The man goes back to the group Flyte Time with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis which later evolved into "The Time" where he was sacked as leadsinger and replaced by Morris Day from the group Enterprise. They were produced by a young guy called Prince.

Saturday Love....how could I forget. Oddly that's not on his debut album but only on Cherelle's "High Priority" set. That version includes the intro dialogue at the bar with Alex discussing female trouble with another guy
They left out that part on the 12"
