The song that is clocked at 1:00 - 3:00 in the mix - was this a real song or was it only released to the radio station as a promo song only to represent there station?

Definately sounds like a promo for WBLS (New York) 107.5FM. Have you tried contacting the station?

well, i don't think it would help to contact the station because in '96 or '97 they switched formats to a r n b station and i think they switched owners too if im not mistaken.

Although WBLS changed formats in the '90s; ownership by Inner City Broadcasting has never changed. Station manager Charles Warfield is still there after all these years, and although Percy Sutton is no longer ostensibly connected, his son is at the helm.

I was working on promotions for some of the featured groups of the time, along with ICM, the talent management concern, when Mr. Sutton and his group were removed from the Apollo Theatre revitalization project. A shame, I think, because their efforts were genuine. Nobody knew the enormity of the project until they'd gotten up to their necks in it.
