"Why you wanna daze me girl?"

I've found this song on an old tape of mine, hope someone can help me out with this one (artist, title).

Short audio-sample (though very bad quality):

thanks!

The only thing that comes to mind is "Why You Wanna Try Me" by the Commodores from 1981's "In The Pocket".

"why you wanna try me girl?"

Naaaah, that's not it...

thanks anyway.

ps: the song is taken from a mix-tape, so maybe the vocals and the instrumental are from different songs (not sure about it)

I don't know the name of the song and I don't know if this will help but it sounds more like he's saying "tease" instead of daze.

Listening to it again, I think the lead voice sings "daze" while the background choir sings "tease"...

Anyone?

Maybe someone could give me a suggestion for another music-forum where I could try it with this one ?
