Going thru some old tapes from the 80's of the Greg Edwards show on Capital Radio, UK.
Heard this track where the chorus of girls sing "love has its own rhythm"
Infact Im sure he said it was BRANDY (no not the Brandy we know now!!).
Any ideas what the song is and who etc...

Good ol' Greg was instrumental in my schooling. I don't know the track you're referring to, but it may be from the 'Crossover To Brandye' LP on Kay-Vette. Just a guess.

I can confirm that this track is indeed the excellent "Rhythm of love" by Brandye, one of my favourite songs! :D
It's by far the most danceable song of the LP "Crossover to Brandye"; much of the rest is soul but it's still a great album.

The first verse starts like this (as I remember, I've not got the song here with me at the moment)

I like the sound of the rain coming down

And I like the tick and the tock of the clock

Just a reply to say thanks to the 3 people who helped identify such an obscure track - Brandye.
Just to let you know after some web searching I found a copy of the 12" version of Rhythm of Love and had it delivered today - Sheer heaven, what a tune!!!!
