Get up and dance! sampled by Deee-Lite

The rhythm of this funky track -that I didn't know of- sounds a bit like the Isley Brothers' "Fight the power". Sang by a guy with some guys and gals doing backing vocals. The chorus goes like this:

"ahaa-haa-haa-haa-hee-hee-yeh-yeah
get up and dance!"

There's an instrumental bridge in the middle of the track that was sampled by Deee-Lite. It's at the beginning of "Groove is in the heart".

I heard this at some radio station (a disco oldies show) and apparently it's called "Get up", but I didn't understand well the name of the artist. Sounds like "Vernon Barrass" or something like that.

The basic beat is Get up by Vernon burch as mentioned above. Deelite refer to that track as the "Bubble beat"
