No, "Murder on the Dancefloor" has nothing sampled, unlike "Groovejet". Even the violins were specially recorded live in studio just for the song by the British quartet "The Wired Strings".

"Yes Sir, I Can Boogie" really does get tiring after a short while. Baccara's own "Koochie-Koo" basically samples the strings from "Yes Sir, I Can Boogie".

Thank you for posting your message! I didn't realize Sophie had released her own rendition of "Yes Sir, I Can Boogie" on CD till I researched that just now. I had only known she was performing it in concerts.

I quite like the Baccara track.... Its a classic cheesy track that i even got on US 12" However i would agree that i it probably wont find its way to either a Dave Lee or a Dmiritry compilation -
Check out their version of Light My Fire its very long but atleast a few minutes of it is increddible =)

Nice to see you back ;-)

D'ya have any knowledge if it was re-recordes and released several times? I have to versions: The one to be found on the album (which I can't remember the name of at the moment) and numerious compilations, and one on mp3 that sounds like an earlier recording. It's much more 'unpolished' in it's sound - allmost demo-like.

Buckaroo: How can you write that Bacarra is no less cheesey than Andrea True?
Even my wife, who admits she has no real musical taste whatsoever, feigns wretching if she ever hears Yes Sir, I Can Boogie, whereas she gently wiggles her hips and sings along to Andrea True. Even she can smell a rat!

Ah Q,

I'm having a real "kum-bay-ah" moment. "Hands across the water, hands across the sky"!!! We agree!!! Who knew???!!!

On a Scale O' Cheese....let me put it this way.....

"More, More, More" is a fine Brie.... you're throwing a party, you wanna impress your guests with your fine taste....

"Superman" is a Kraft individually wrapped single...edible but very ordinary on your bagged lunch sandwich...

"Yes Sir! I Can Boogie" is a 10 year old container of processed cheese you find in the back of your refrigerator on the day you're moving to a new apartment...and wonder "what was I thinking??!!!" and promptly toss in the TRASH!!!! :P :P :P

Default she recorded "Yes sir" as a b-side on her last sin

Her lastest single (I won't change you) was out earlier thi year and it includes her version of the song. I recommend it. It's great.
