Default 2 early house tracks

Hi I'm looking for 2 songs.

The 1st should be easy, it's that old house track that goes:
"in the beginning there was Jack, and jack had a groove, and from that groove came the groove of all grooves, and Jack boldly declared: Let there be house" and goes on in this vein for a while. It's been sampled by everyone but who did it and what's it called?

The 2nd is fairly electronic sounding. The main refrain goes:
"I'm just a bad-boy, beep-beep".
Another line is: "and you might call me a queer, you might call me a freak"

It reminds me a bit of Frankie Knuckles's "It's a cold world"

Does this ring any bells

Thanks in advance

The much-sampled a capella was originally taken from 'My House' by Rhythm Control, from 1987.

Funny that - never having owned (or particularly liked) 'Can You Feel It', I didn't realise the full a capella was on there - especially as so many people always want it. I just assumed that as 'Can You Feel' has always been such a big record, it would be common knowledge that the 'pella was on the 12".

Rhythm Control also credits Chuck Roberts and the a capella length is 9:14 on this one.

Never mind the boo-boo - at least you know an alternative source for the a capella now!

Thanks everyone,

Forrce, so the longer accapella is on Rhythm Control while there is a version on "can you feel it". I've never particularly liked "Can you feel it" either so I'll look out for the Rhythm Control one. Looks expensive though.

Johnny boy - do you know where I could find that "bad boy" track? Is it on an EP or something?

Kendela,
I've just had a listen to 'My House' again (haven't done so for many years) and the a capella isn't all Chuck - there's a hefty chunk of perc-a-pella in the middle, but it's the whole speech, anyhow.

Though maybe I am right, after all. According to this write-up on Discogs, the a capella was used on the 1988 remix of Mr. Fingers - not the '86 original.

The raw (and good) version played by knuckles / hardy was never released.. however as I said there are (I think ) 2 releases on 12" of that track. original and steve silk hurley remixes.. I hate to own records that I know not are the best versions this is prime example!!
regards

i have a 12" of "bad boy" credited to jamie principle, who sings the vocal. it was remixed by hurley and was issued on D.J. World Records DJW 105. it's the only record i have on that label.

Bad boy was rereleased last year,on Trax records.
It was first released in 1987 under the artist name
''Jamie Principle''but the rerelease says ''Frankie Knuckles presents'',who is the one who produced this track. It's the b-side of ''It's a cold world.
I don't think this one is hard to find,I see it every time, when I'm in my local record store.

''Fingers Inc.-Can you feel it''was also rereleased on Trax records last year.It features four different versions with :Martin Luther king speech,Chuck Roberts Speech,Robert Owens vocals and an instrumental. If I'm correct,[don't have rerelease in my collection.]
No loose acapella's on this one.
The 12'' that I have, with the Chuck Roberts speech over ''Can you feel it''was released in 1988 on Desire records from England. It has the acapella on the b-side.
