| Disco Lou... I was in the mood for some Lou Rawls and played the Classics Lp. Superb! I was woundering if any 12" were ever issued. I do have a 12" 1984 Bill Fredicks-You'll never find and it is nice, but What about Lou???? I just love-See you when I get there, Lady love and Groovy people. They have the Gamble and Huff slick lush style. A much longer version would be heaven. I would even dive for a 7" 45 that had the inst. on side B. Anyone see any? Dj Guy |

| I must imagine there are others, but I all I have is a Lou Rawls 12 inch from 1979 with "Let Me Be Good To You" b/w "Lover's Holiday." Philly Intl. label.

| Ok, lucked out , first box checked and found it! This is the only 12" of this songs I've ever seen. "See you when I get there" 4:25 is on the flip side A. The Tag on the cover says "Philly Classic 12" plus track listings. |

| Mix, Oh, I know that label now. I have one of a 7:00 version of "Do It Anyway You Wanna" by People's Choice b/w McFadden & Whitehead's "Ain't No Stoppin' Us Now." It's a pretty bad pressing so I wonder if all in that series are horrible as well.

| Bernie, I don't remember about the quality since this 12" came to late for me and never played it in a club much, I'll give this copy a spin later and compare with the Lp/7", I remember picking it up just because.... |

| Bernie, just finished spinning this 12", and 'You'll never find" compares very well with the 7", it has more volume and it sounds very clear to me, although apparently they used cheap vinyl because this copy was never played much and it has some surface noise even after a couple of washes (but it could be my copy), also in the last verse at the end when Lou sings "you'll never see, what you found in me" (cut out of the 7" version) the vocal track looses volume, this mastering flaw could be present on the Lp as well but my copy is lost, "See you when I get there" is perfect and compares very well with the Lp, even though this 12" version clocks a few seconds shorter both versions are the same lengh. |

| Wow, thanks to all. I did buy a lot of the S.E.X. singles when they came out. But did not know about the Lou Rawls! No internet then. I did get Marlena Shaw Touch me in the morning, Joe tex-bump no more, Cheryl Lynn, Haven't stopped dancing come to mind. They are hard to file as two different artist sometimes appear on them. I just find it hard to believe that with a Gamble and Huff production See you when I get there, Lady Love and Groovy people and well as You'll never find did not get a disco version. If and instrumental was around I would make one. I do not think the 4 min versions have enough in them to make a break or beautify with instrumental passages. Guy :P |

| Man I should have bought these more when I used to see them, now they're very hard to find :x but my prize is the one with Boz Scaggs-Lowdown because I'm pretty sure and I've even talked to former CBS/Coloumbia employees who used to get all the promo 12"s that "lowdown" was never released as a 12" single, I love that song!
