Thanks for the title and Artist Marky but I could of sworn the Barkays did a version during the mid 80's

This looks like "Screamin'" by Tony Baxter to me.
He yelled out the line "Open Up The Door - Too Funky In Here!" in that song.
I believe it's from the early 80s and very much in the JB style.

Get Up Offa That Thing by Screamin' Tony Baxter has an intro where he goes on about coming home from a long day at work, no food on the table etc, then he shouts Papa's got a brand new bag and the track begins proper. Any help.

I don't think this record you're looking for is GUOTT.

Is that Tony Baxter really track named "Get Up offa That Thing"?
No wonder I haven't been able to find it on vinyl....I've obviously been looking for the wrong title since my old tape recording of the song had the DJ naming the song "Screamin'"

THE above lyrics most definitely DO NOT belong to Screamin' Tony Baxter's Get Up Offa That Thing. I've just given it a listen and they don't appear, certainly no girlie singers either.

KBee: I've seen it called Screamin' No Respect.

Luckily I have the track on 12" and CD.

P.S. This was one record that was stolen from me back in the day and its shelf life was so short I couldn't get a replacement. It was a record that never went down as well as I hoped it would, but I was palying a really commercial disco by then, so on reflection, no surprises. At least one person liked it enough to nick it!!
