Artists name? HELP

This is embarrassing but I have a classic cut called "use me loose me" that I played back in chicago in the early 80's and still bang now.Back when we were teenagers doing the same party scenes as some DJ's will remember some of your records "walk away" and this particular title along with several of my other records this other DJ stole was confiscated once me and my crew caught up with him at a party while he was playing the records I KNEW he didn't have and would always ask me to borrow although I didn't let him use unless I was with him (boy was THAT funny when he saw us all come into the room-it was a house party) and ask him if the records were mine and he denied it. After that my other buddies (who were more upset than me) held him and noticed he had put white labels with his name over the original label but you could still see MY name through the paper and when my buddies ripped off the labels, they took off the artists name.

Needless to say I have all of my records (and some extras of of my choice in exchange he wouldn't get his -ss kicked). Problem is I've gotten so accustomed to just the title that I've totally forgot the artists name . Its a pretty jazzy sound kinda reminds you of Michelle Wallace Tee Scott production and we used to play the instrumental along with the acapella of you aint really down by status IV. Thanks and sorry for the long post but I caught a flashback for a moment.
