Default Saturday Night Live 1978-ish pseudo-commercial segment...

Saturday Night Live from 1978-ish: A popular, often repeated, separately filmed (not live) pseudo-commercial segment where Gilda Radner picks up a one night stand (possibly John Belushi) at a smoky bar. In the last scene she is seen stumbling out the front door of his New York apartment building at dawn.

The "commercial" was for a perfume "For that special someone you'll never see again..."

What disco song is playing throughout this faux-commercial? It has a somewhat slower BPM, continous hi-hats througout, but no vocals are heard (in this segment).

Is this a real song, or a cover version of a previously existing song, or another stock song never released commercially?

Any ideas?

That faux commercial was for "Hey You" perfume :P and I would imagine that the background song would have been a stock piece.

Thanks Boodikka. :)

Another unusually good stock song I would love to have a copy of...

To describe the music, I would place it as an appropriate fit onto Giorgio Moroder's "Knights in White Satin" album from 1976, as it sounds like a missing track left off that album.
