Default Help me

Hi disco freaks :)

I have some songs that I havenīt been able to identify myself.
So now Iīll ask for your help...

Itīs 2 songs I have recorded from radio many years ago.

The sound quality is poor, so itīs not easy to recognize many words from the text.

But here Iīll try to give you a little information about the songs:

Song no. 1:

Sung by a woman. I guess the song is from the mid-eighties or the beginning of the eighties. But could be from the late 70īs as well... :-?
Itīs not easy to hear what she sings because of the poor sound quality, but hereīs what I think she sings, just before chorus:."...And I saw you - I will take you away..."
( And then chorus starts. I canīt recognize many words from the chorus but it sounds like if she sings something about " Iīll get a way to paradise". It also sounds like if she sings " Into this neverending.....")

The genre is disco (surprise!!), and thereīs some ecco in the song sometimes.

Song no. 2:

Here I have even less information to give... :(

This song is also sung by a woman. Itīs from the beginning of the 80īs, or maybe from the late 70īs.
In the chorus she sings " Here in my hometown".

In this song, too, there is some ecco.

I really hope that someone can help me identifying at least one of these songs

Hello!

Just a guess...
On the first one, try "Paradise" by Change, around 1980 or 1981 I think. It sounds like she sings, "reach for, reach for, reach for the sky" and the chorus says, "I'll take you there" and "I'll be nearby" then a killer bass and "I'll take you to paradise." "Oh yeah!"

I have no clue on your second one.

Hi camillamus,

WELCOME TO THE BOARD

My wild guess on song # 1 is "The Never Ending Story" by Limahl from 1984. One line of the 'chorus' is:

"There up on the rainbow is the answer to a never ending story." I'm probably way off but it won't hurt to check. I don't have a clue about your second song.

Good luck. Normally our members are pretty good at this but these clues as you know are really slim. :(

Nicky

I don't know either song, but the first one sounds like it should be titled "Garden Of Eden" cause they repeat that phrase over and over.

The second sounds like maybe it would be "Easy Come and Easy Go".

Just wild guesses.

Hi again :)
Seems like no one knows any of those 2 songs Iīm looking for...

Do any of you know another place on the internet where I can ask people to identify them? :-?

The more places I try - the bigger chances to get the songs identified

But I havenīt been able to find any information about it.

Are there any Dee D. Jackson fans here who can tell me the exact title and when/where itīs from?

And I still havenīt found out of anything about the 1st song

Hi camillamus, :D

That second song sounds familiar, taking what
markydefad said there was a song by The Sutherland Brothers & Quiver 1979 called Easy Come Easy Go

I've tried but can't find any lyrics of the song to confirm a yes or no but it may triger something?

Good Luck

Just a suggestion. In re to #1, If you can get someone to translate the German dj at the end of the clip - might help you to figure the name of the artist. I understood the last part naming "dusty springfield" but I'm pretty sure she not the artist you're looking for.
