| Does anyone have any information on "Gigolo" (amazing beat!!!) circa 1980 - I think. Some lyrics: Sweet "OOOOH SEXY, OOOOH SEXY,OOOOH SEXY". Some lyrics: "He gots his feets in the clouds". "Gigilo... oh such a sweet thing...ooh I love you so... sweet, sweet gigolo... SSSEXXY... SSSEXXY...SSSEXXY..." "He took my love and ran away... I knew he wasn't gonna stay. He took my love and ran away... I knew he wasn't gonna stay. But OOOH-yeah but OOOH-yeah such a gentle man. He knows his science like a book, and not to mention his good looks....OOOH-yeah OOh baby Gigolo." "He's gots his feets in the clouds. Drives around in a limosine car....eating caviar" "Even Cindarella had her Gigolo" Hook: "He's no fool 'cause he went to school, he's a gigolo man, real cool. Walks like a cat with a graceful stride, swingin' his arms from side to side". HELP!!! |

| Same record company: Motown..BUT Mary Wilson was from the Supremes...Mary Wells sang "My Guy" and "You Beat Me To The Punch". Wells was the reigning Motown DIVA before Miss Ross came on to the scene.

| Marky is correct. I just dropped the 12" to confirm the lyrics. Mary Wells, "Gigolo", 1981 EPIC Records, from the album, In and Out of Love. BTW Docdocdoc --- Welcome to our merry world of music, DISOCMUSIC.COM. Enjoy your stay. |

| Do NOT, I repeat, NOT buy the Mary Wells compilation CD "Ain't it the truth" if you are after this track. On this compilation they have included the album version which lacks serious "UMPH" The 12" was a special remix with reworked bass, drum and organ line. By the way, that organ... yum yum! I am so glad that Frankie Knuckles cs have brought that back into vogue in dance. One of the best examples: Bobby D'Ambrosio's "Brighter day" (album "Here I am"). I guess I am just rambling now... |
