Default Seeking Help ID'ing Title/Artist Please

Hello to all!

Seeking the title/artist for a song that I believe is from the early to mid-80's. The vocalist is female and as I recall she has a very high voice. The song had a funky bass line as well. I'm a bit sketchy on the lyrics as I was usually having *way* too much fun clubbing back then.
The way I recall it is the repeated lyric is:
"I'll never dance with another" (btw its Not, I Saw Her Standing There)- or -
"I'd never {fill-in-the-blank} with another"
I remember we had lots of laughs making up lyrics to this one and shouting 'em out a la Mony, Mony on the dance floor .... "I'll never @%$^ with your mother" ... Cheezy I know ...
Anyway, have googled the heck out of this one to no avail. Stumbled across this wonderful site the other day and have explored away - What a treasure trove dedicated to Great Music and Great Times.

Also, while recently in Chicago I was checking out V-103 radio (awesome station imho) - They played a tune with a female vocalist, no title, not a disco tune. She was singing about her "Pony". Lots of double-entendre's - Riding her pony hard, up and down, washing him down, etc. I recall this corny little song being from the 70's and being much derided (no pun intended). Although I realize this tune is off-topic any help here is appreciated as well.

Thanks for all your help and keep up the fine work you all do here!
JM

The line is "I couldn't ask for another", and the song is "Groove Is In The Heart" by Deee-Lite from 1990.

BTW, the bass line was lifted from Herbie Hancock (with credit given).

Default which Herbie Hancock song?

Graham Start -

Do you remember which Herbie Hancock song Deee-Lite sampled for the bassline of "Groove Is In The Heart"? I would love to know...

A google search indicates that it's "Bring Down The Birds", but I haven't heard the original, so I can't confirm.
