Title And Artist Of This Track If Anyone Knows Please?

There was a track I used to hear at 8th Floor in Philly that outa the clear blue of nowhere popped in my head and now I wanna get it. Lyrics were "Im an outlaw baby" and it was a kinda funky but 4/4 pumpin disco track. The guy singing it had that Commodores "Brick House" type voice but I know it wasnt them. Can anyone help?

That was a quick responce lol, just made the post...anyhow, was it by War?? I didnt know they did any disco accept "Galaxy". What year is this track from that could be the one im lookin for?

OK :lol: I just answered that question with the trusty help of winmx..that is the track!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanx very much Marky. WOW didnt know that was War but now I hear it years later knowing that I can hear it in the voice. Do you know what LP it was on or if it was a 12"?

"Outlaw" is from 1982. The LP was called "Outlaw" (5:02) and I believe there was a 12" also. I don't recall if it was extended, remixed or just the LP cut.

Ok, thanks alot man :D Didnt know it was from 82 though..guess thats the tail end of disco. I'll be lookin for the LP or 12". The 5:02 version was the one I remember from 8th Floor (the one I found on winmx) so, it must be just the LP cut on the 12 if there is one. But thanx much!!

Jimmy, Both my 12" copies of 'Outlaw" a promo and the retail copy are 5:02, I never came across a remix; War's "Me and baby brother" was played in early discos and "Low rider" the remix, in the early eighties was a big hit, I remember when visiting LA clubs it was played every where I went.
