Question Challenge DISCOMUSIC MASTERS: ID '89/'90 "scratchin'...Good Times" (samples Chic's)

PLEASE!!! could you help me identifying the name of this record, I had on tape from '90s radio, it's an original production that samples Chic's Good Times (it was not a dj-set). I've been looking for it since early 90s!!

It sounds like one of the many Bootleg 12" mixers that were around in the 80's. Bits and Pieces No.3 (which inspired Starsound's Stars on 45 Beatles Medley) being the most famous. Unfortunately, due to copyrite issues, many of such mixes were one offs, on 'white label' releases, with either no print, or only a rubber stamped name of the mix on the label. I've got about 50 such 12"ers in the garage, but don't recognise your clip.

Since your clip contains Jack Your Body by Steve 'Silk' Hurley, which was released late 1986, I think it could possibly have been one of a series called 'Manhattan Disco Mixer' which started in 1982 and ran for a few years. They were creatively entitled 'Manhattan Disco Mixer No.1', 'Manhattan Disco Mixer No.2' etc, in sequence.

It may even be one of the many DMC or Ben Liebrand Mixes. Sorry I can't be more specific.

Old Disco Deejay: upon your advice I've been searching on the net and even asked at some record-stores and I couldn't find concrete info about any "Bits and Pieces No.x" nor "Manhattan Disco Mixers" 12" bootlegs.
And I think it's not a DMC megamix 'cos sometime ago I checked their releases, and it's not a Ben Liebrand's mix, 'cos I also checked that possibility.

Might someone out there will have the answer!! and the record!!

Help!!! :) Thanks in advance.

I don't have this particular Bits and Pieces 12", but the Link on this site will give you an idea of the problem trying to find something 20 years old, based on a label with minimal information.
Bits & Pieces 89 Various Artists Disco Music.com

Bits and Pieces No.3 was very famous at the time, as it was one of the first records (after Bits and Pieces 1 and 2 of course) that contained a professional mix containing snipets of about 60 different songs, from the original artists, mostly just 1 line from the chorus. It had everything from Disco, pop, 60's, 70's and early 80's songs all mixed together. Due to using original artists, there were copyrite issues, hence the anonymity on labels.
Bits and Pieces No.3 still pops up on EBay from time to time.
The link that I've shown is to Bits and Pieces 89, I'd imagine that refers to the year, rather than the sequential No, as I thought that they only got as far as No.6. If anyone has '89' they may be able to assist with a track listing.

I'll dig a few of my old mixers out of the garage, but I don't recall any mixing Chic with Steve 'Silk' Hurley. Given that the songs were more than a decade apart and different genres from Disco to early House Sound of Chicago, it may be that the mix is a bit more recent, or what they now refer to as an Old Skool Mix.

Other than Bits and Pieces 3, most of them, at the time, tended to stick to songs that were released within a few years of each other. e.g.

Lasts about 25 mins each side and I've got at least 50 similar in the garage, so I may be some time researching, but if I come across any containing the 2 songs that you are after, I'll update this thread.
