Does anyone know what the biggest disco hits were by "The Originals"? I know they had one out in 1976, does anyone know the name of it? Did they have 12 inch versions of their songs?

Well, their biggest disco hit would be "Down to Love Town" from 1976 on Motown. I'm sure they have other 12" records out there but nothing to my knowledge was nearly as huge as this one. When I say 'huge', I mean 'disco huge'. The Originals were around a good while before '76 and had some very smooth R&B hits: The Bells, Baby I'm for Real and others.

another one worth a mention from a year before down to love town released june 3rd 1975 is "good lovin is just a dime away that got big plays in england it was only 7" though.nickys right they made some really smooth records, theres a love affair going on in england at the moment with the originals with record collectors snapping up motown albums left right and centre as people realise just how good they were with the definitions album now selling for 100 dollars on e.bay for the in demand dont stop now which is awesome :P

I've got a CD compilation of Fantasy disco tracks & included is the Originals' version of Rogers & Hart's 'Blue Moon'. Is this a sought-after track D.Disk or is it considered too camp by collectors? :)
